Tokyo, Feb 23, 2010 - (ACN Newswire) - TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION (TMC) announces its production, domestic sales and export results, including those for subsidiaries Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. and Hino Motors, Ltd., for January 2010.

PRODUCTION IN JAPAN
Toyota - Increase
Daihatsu - Decrease
Hino - Increase

SALES IN JAPAN
Toyota
Sixth consecutive month of increase
Sales of Lexus vehicles were 3,833 units (201.8% increase)
50.8% share of market excluding minivehicles (3.0% increase); record high for month of January

Daihatsu - Decrease
Number of minivehicles sold was approximately 44,800 (0.3% increase);
first increase in four months
34.9% share of minivehicle market (0.2% decrease)

Hino - Decrease
Number of standard trucks sold was approximately 900 (14.8% decrease)
39.6% share of the truck* market (2.3% increase)

Toyota + Daihatsu + Hino
Sixth consecutive month of increase
45.8% share of market including minivehicles (2.5% increase); eighth
consecutive month of increase and a record high for month of January
*Maximum loading capacity of more than four tons; excluding imported trucks

EXPORTS

Toyota
First increase in sixteen months, due to increased exports to many regions,
despite the decrease in exports mainly to the Middle East and Africa

Daihatsu
First increase in twenty-one months, due to increased exports mainly to
Europe, despite the decrease in exports mainly to Asia

Hino
Third consecutive month of increase, due to increased exports mainly to
Asia, Oceania and Latin America

First increase in sixteen months

OVERSEAS PRODUCTION

Sixth consecutive month of increase, due to increased production in almost
all regions; record high for month of January
