PRESS RELEASE

Basingstoke: 25th July 2017: - Exertis, a leading distributor of technology products for the B2B, mobile and retail markets, has today announced a distribution agreement with Intel® to include their processors, SSD, Optane memory, and NUC products.

Stuart Hatch, Exertis, components general manager, said, “We are proud to confirm our appointment as an authorised distributor for Intel®.  This new partnership is a major addition to our channel-leading components portfolio.  We look forward to enabling our customers to benefit from Intel® ITP points on Intel® purchases from Exertis and to recruiting new customers to the program.  This announcement comes at a great time with the recent launch of the Intel® X299 platform from our three motherboard brands.  In addition, the exciting new Intel® Optane™ Memory enables the acceleration of hard drives when coupled with Kaby Lake processors and will be particularly well-received by systems integrators building high performance gaming PCs.”

Intel® continues to be a market leader and driver recently introducing its most scalable, accessible and powerful desktop platform ever.  The new Intel® Core™ X-series processor family includes the new Intel® Core™ i9 processor brand and, in the future, the Intel® Core™ i9 Extreme Edition – the first desktop CPU with 18 cores and 36 threads of power.  The company also introduced the Intel® X299 chipset, which adds even more I/O and overclocking capabilities.

Intel’s solid state drives (SSDs) set the standard for storage performance, stability, efficiency, and low power consumption. With no moving parts, Intel’s rugged SSDs are excellent for use in devices and for applications that require speed and reliability. Intel® Optane™ Memory provides game-changing technology intelligently accelerating new 7th Gen Intel® Core™ processor-based systems while affordably maintaining mega-storage capacity, to deliver a responsive computer experience with short boot times, fast application launches, extraordinary gaming, and responsive browsing. The Intel® NUC is a powerful 4x4-inch bare-bone Mini PC with entertainment, gaming, and productivity features, including a customisable board that is ready to accept a range of memory, storage, and operating systems.

Exertis is well positioned to enhance the Intel channel with its comprehensive range covering all the complementary components categories. “We are very excited about working closely with Intel to grow their business with market leading propositions. Our customers will be able to buy everything required from one source which is a testimony to the breadth we have achieved in our components business in recent years, enabling efficiencies and value for our customers,” added Hatch.
