PRESS RELEASE

With prices starting at £59.99, the C Series range offers that vital independent eye witness

LONDON, 11th April 2019 – Dash cam manufacturer, Mio, is extending its entry-level C-Series range with the introduction of four new options; the MiVue™ C312, C540, C541 and C570. This now offers a sliding scale of price and feature options to ensure all drivers can feel confident on UK roads with their ever-present eye witness if an accident was unfortunate enough to happen.

Stylish, discreet and easy to use, the dash cams not only record every journey made but are also the complete driving assistant with features such as Parking Mode Recording, Safety Camera Warnings and a Traceable Movements option meaning that it detects when a collision occurs and ensures this footage is not overwritten. All four dash cams also promise to deliver high quality, 1080p Full HD imagery so there can be no discrepancy over the evidence.

Please see a breakdown of the different features available and a description:

Traceable Movements – 3 Axis G-Sensor – All models

In the event of an accident or if the dash cam detects a sudden change of movement from the car, the device’s built in G-Sensor jumps into action and will record from then on to protect this footage so accessible if ever needed as evidence.

Auto power on – All models

With auto power on, the MiVue C series dash cams begin recording as soon as the vehicle starts moving so that the driver can focus on their journey ahead with minimal distractions or disruption.

Capture all the details with a minimum image quality of 1080p Full HD

All models are designed with a Full HD 1080 pixel camera with the C312 having a F2.2 and C540, C541 and 570 a F1.8 lens to ensure the footage captured is high-quality and bright, even in low-light conditions. The 130° wide-angle lens captures every detail, invaluable at critical moments.

Parking Mode – C540, C541, C570

Using the latest motion detection technology and G sensor, the dash cam can automatically activate and record videos when a motion is picked up near the parked vehicle and recording will begin. Therefore ensuring the vehicle is monitored if any damage or attempted break-in is made.

Photo Mode - C540, C541, C570

This option allows drivers to also use the dash cam to take stills from an accident as evidence of the scene and the damage caused.

MiVue™ Manager

Using the intuitive MiVue™ Manager desktop application, it is simple to view HD video playback and combine and share videos on YouTube and Facebook. Videos can be organised easily using the video organiser and it is also possible to include a GPS overlay in Google Maps to show the vehicles route synchronised with the video. The Direction Analyser displays any 3-axis G-forces and shows the direction of driving in time with the clip.

Focus on MiVue™ C570 – features overview

In addition to the above features, the top of the new range, the C570, also offers Sony’s premium STARVIS CMOS sensor which means that imagery remains clear whatever the light conditions. The near infra-red range gets users as close to night vision as possible when it comes to dash cams.

The C570 also includes built in GPS so the location of the vehicle and its speed are logged on every recording. The GPS includes speed alerts and also pre-installed safety camera data so drivers know exactly how fast they can safely drive. The data updates for the lifetime of the device too.

The GPS module is housed entirely inside the unit, unlike other dash cams on the market.
