Today LG has announced two new smartphones which will be part of the new LG G4 family. The LG G4c and G4 Stylus smartphones are, as you can probably determine from their suffixes, a compact G4 and a larger G4 which packs a stylus, respectively. In other recent LG news the company emailed HEXUS to announce the global rollout of the LG G4. This flagship smartphone will roll out this week in key markets starting in Hong Kong. By 28th May it will be available in the UK.

LG G4c and G4 Stylus

If the LG G4 flagship doesn't quite hit your sweet spot LG is hoping to have your Goldilocks-like requirements covered by the little bit smaller and little bit bigger LG G4c and G4 Stylus smartphones. You might also be attracted by the prices as these are more modestly priced than the 5.5-inch flagship with its "handcrafted, genuine full grain leather back cover," super bright lens and latest Qualcomm Snapdragon chip.

The 5.7-inch G4 Stylus will be offered in both LTE and 3G configurations in Metallic Silver or Floral White colour options. The 5.0-inch G4c is an LTE model only and will come in Metallic Gray, Ceramic White and Shiny Gold. Both of these smartphones feature 13MP or 8MP rear cameras and a 5MP front-facing camera. Users will also be happy to hear that they feature HD quality IPS displays with In-Cell Touch technology. LG exclusive features such as Gesture Shot, Glance View and Knock Code are present in both devices.

Looking at the LG Stylus in particular it includes LG's Rubberdium Stylus, allowing for easy note taking and drawing. The camera unit in the Stylus is enhanced by super-fast Laser Autofocus which is particularly useful in low light photography.

Unfortunately we don't have much pricing or availability info for the new handsets at this time. We were only told that the LG G4c will become available "around the world from this month".

LG G4 availability

As mentioned in the intro the LG G4 flagship has started to become available in key markets. Starting in Hong Kong, the G4 will follow with rollouts in Turkey, Russia and Singapore, eventually including most of Europe, North America, CIS, Southeast Asia, Middle East/Africa and South/Central America. Here in the UK it should be available a week on Thursday, that's 28th May.

As a reminder of the G4's key features it offers; an exceptional camera, a vivid and expansive 'Quantum' display, premium construction and leather finish options and is powered by Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon 808 Processor with X10 LTE. There's a newly released video about the manufacturing of LG G4's leather back embedded below.

Hoping the G4 is the next Nexus 5 however I wish they had got the snapdragon 810 in it…
yay more phones with a stylus included….. you know what I think those designers were on to something back in the 90's….shame it doesn't have any pressure sensitivity. Now if motorola could just do one :)

I never have like prodding my phone with my finger after having both a windows mobile v5 and symbian device which had a stylus, using a pen (and writing) is much more natural (and less greasy) than typing to me on such a small area.
1GB of ram seems very low
Isn't the G4 supposed to be a flagship? And if so, aren't Android-powered flagships supposed to come with at least 2GB of RAM nowadays?
Its ram !! It is the only demorlysing part otherwise its perfecto!!
