It's that time of the year again when we can look back at some of the highlights. So for the latest installment of our Question of the Week, we're asking: what's the best computer game you've played this year?

There's been no shortage of AAA titles, and no shortage of platforms, either, with games consoles, PCs, smartphones and handhelds all putting forth some stellar gaming experiences.

But which titles in particular stood out most; was it one of the usual big-budget suspects - Far Cry 4, Assassin's Creed Unity, Destiny, or Call of Duty Advanced Warfare? Or did you feel right at home with a simple puzzler?

Mine is, as you can guess from the title picture, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.

But here's your chance to have your say, so use the comments section below to let us know which game you've enjoyed most this year, and on which platform.

elite dangerous :)
Annoyingly prob the game I've put the most amount of time into this year has been Destiny but there is no way I could put it up in my best game.

I think my vote would be between Wolfenstein (didn't expect to like it nevermind that much!) or Shadow of Mordor.
The game that has given me the most quality gaming this year has been Shadow of Mordor, I just couldn't put it down, even the collectibles on it were worth getting as they added to the world with their own stories that were spoken instead of just text.

I also plowed many hours into Batman Arkham Origins once again collecting everything that I could, really enjoyed it start to finish more so than City.

Other than that I have played Sir Lancelot and Auf Wiedhersehen Monty loads on my Amstrad CPC464 after getting that around March and I am still trying to get through Interphase on the Atari ST after nearly 20 years, getting there at long last!!
Dragon Age Inquisition. No doubt.
