One eye on the top of the charts

The Ukranian- based, GSC Gameworld, the developer behind the PC hit, S.T.A.L.K.E.R Shadow of Chernobyl has today confirmed that they've obtained Xbox 360 developer status, which now means that there ambition to create multi-platform projects has become a reality.

Whether this means that S.T.A.L.K.E.R will make an appearance on Microsoft's console we do not know, but the team say that they do have their sights set on gaining the top spot in the console charts.

Sergiy Grygorovych, the CEO of GSC Game World, said:

"We are happy to say the big efforts of our company aimed to obtain the official Xbox 360 developer status now ended with success. Obtaining such a status for an independent developer based in ex-USSR means a lot - it took us over 2 years to get. We are very thankful to Microsoft for the assistance and high esteem of our team's professionalism."

GSC World will still continue to develop games for PC. Their past work includes the strategy titles Heroes of Annihilated Empires and Cossacks: European War.
