Taipei, Taiwan (28th April, 2017) — ASUS Republic of Gamers today announced the Strix B250G Gaming (microATX) and Strix B250H Gaming (ATX) motherboards, value-packed boards that combine the bold aesthetics of the classic ROG red and black color theme and katana-inspired markings with premier performance and incredible audio to deliver unrivaled gaming experiences and style.

ROG Strix B250 series motherboards are based on the Intel® B250 chipset and support the latest 7th Generation Intel Core™ processors and technologies. With exceptional audio performance from SupremeFX technology and the S1220A codec, ultra-fast connectivity with dual onboard M.2 slots and Intel Optane™ memory support, exclusive ROG innovations for stable, efficient operation, and the comprehensive system protections of Gamer’s Guardian, ROG Strix B250G Gaming and ROG Strix B250H Gaming take performance to the next level to give gamers the edge against opponents.

Exceptional audio: SupremeFX S1220A codec, plus Sonic Studio III and Sonic Radar III

ROG Strix B250G Gaming and ROG Strix B250H Gaming feature the exclusive SupremeFX S1220A codec that delivers an exceptional 113dB signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) on the line-in connection for the best ever recording performance, and a 120dB SNR on the line-out to ensure crystal-clear sound. ROG engineers have also added Texas Instruments® RC 4580 and OPA1688 op-amps for incredibly high-gain, low-distortion sound that envelops the listener.

ROG Strix B250H Gaming also comes with Sonic Studio III for total audio control and Sonic Radar III, which features a new heads-up display with a three-dimensional in-game arrow that pinpoints enemy positions instantly.

Ultimate connectivity: Intel LAN, GameFirst IV, dual M.2, and Intel Optane

ROG Strix B250G Gaming and ROG Strix B250H Gaming have the very latest Intel Gigabit Ethernet (I219-V) integrated to reduce CPU overhead and deliver exceptionally-high TCP and UDP throughput, freeing up more computing power for gaming and gameplay. They both have ASUS-exclusive LANGuard to provide protection against electrostatic discharges and surges, and ROG Strix B250H Gaming also features GameFirst IV to prioritize gaming-related network traffic for faster, lag-free online gaming experiences.

Both ROG Strix B250G Gaming and ROG Strix B250H Gaming feature dual M.2 slots, giving users maximum flexibility when choosing an SSD for their system. Support for Intel Optane memory — a revolutionary new non-volatile memory that enables SSD-like performance from a hard disk drive (HDD) — lets gamers enjoy dramatically accelerated data transfer speeds for faster launching of their favorite games.

Superior gaming performance: Fan Xpert 3, EPU and Digi+ Power Control, plus RAMCache II

ROG Strix B250G Gaming and ROG Strix B250H Gaming are packed with exclusive technologies that provide gamers with the best system performance, energy efficiency and stability. Fan Xpert 3 provides advanced yet intuitive fan controls that enable gamers to achieve an optimal gaming environment, while the EPU and Digi+ Power Control provide enhanced system stability and utmost energy efficiency. On ROG Strix B250H Gaming, intelligent RAMCache II technology effectively caches an entire storage device to reduce the risk of data loss and ensure faster game loading.

Comprehensive protection: Gamer’s Guardian and easy DIY features including SafeSlot

ROG Strix B250G Gaming and ROG Strix B250H Gaming have a suite of protective features called Gamer’s Guardian, which includes SafeSlot. SafeSlot is the PCIe® slot reinvented by ASUS and engineered to provide superior retention and shearing resistance. Manufactured in a single step, a new insert-molding process integrates the slot with fortifying metal for an inherently stronger slot, which is then firmly anchored to the motherboard through additional solder points.

Gamer’s Guardian also includes Digi+ voltage-regulator modules (VRM) for improved power delivery to the CPU, DRAM Overcurrent Protection for extended motherboard life, and Smart DIY features, including Q-Slot for easy graphics card installation, Q-DIMM memory slots for simple and secure memory module handling, and Q-Shield to prevent against nicks and cuts during system building.
