1080p gaming performance

Bioshock Infinite, a game based on a 32-bit executable, greatly favours Intel's Haswell CPUs. The game appears to leverage only four cores hence why the FX-8320E joint-last. A difference of 15FPS between the FX-8320E and the Core i5 4570 is a notable gap. However, said gap constitutes a £40 saving for the FX-8320E owner which can be invested into a better graphics card to close the gap.

Batman Arkham Origins demonstrates another last-place finish for the FX-8320E. At UHD, 3,840x2,160, we'd expect to see this gap greatly reduced, although, the FX-8320E is an unlikely choice for a 4K gaming rig.
