What you're seeing here is the benefit of switching from four cores to six whilst also keeping frequencies nice and high.

The CPU choice is more important than the chipset, and Asus is indirectly saying that, for an additional £75 or so - the premium for the six-core CPU and motherboard - you gain about 50 per cent more performance in nicely-threaded tests. Yum yum.
