The comparison here is to see what running a Core i7-8700K at an all-core 4.8GHz/DDR4-3200 memory gives you over stock, which is defined as an all-core 4.3GHz/DDR4-2666.

A relatively small speed increase in PiFast is explained by the default-clocked chip running its Turbo frequency higher than 4.3GHz. In the other CPU-centric benchmarks we're seeing performance jump by 10 per cent.
