Open for business
Mike Trup left the City to start up an interactive software distributor in the late eighties, but it's only recently that the growth of Interactive Ideas has really accelerated.
The main reason for this has been its position as one of the main distributors of open source software for business - a market that has been really taking off recently.
In the interview, Trup talks about the pros and cons of switching to Linux products offered by companies like Red Hat and SUSE, and the commercial opportunities this presents for the channel.
With his City background, Trup is also able to offer a useful perspective on the current economic malaise and how he sees things unfolding as we emerge from it.
