TYAN Announced New Array of Product Lines that Fully Supports Networking and Storage as Being the Real Server Ingredient Provider

Fremont, CA, September 30th, 2009 - TYAN, an industry-leading server platform provider for 20 years, which is under MiTAC International Corp., is expanding their scope by becoming a server component provider with a new product line.  TYAN today unveils a new line of networking and storage products that are called the TYAN Power Add-on Card series. The TYAN Power Networking Add-on Cards will offer the latest technology for maximizing system performance and increasing customer productivity, while the TYAN Power HBA/RAID Add-on Cards will offer various multiple storage capabilities and both internal and external RAID abilities for our customers.  TYAN plans to bundle this product line in various options with the current TYAN platforms to offer a more competitive product line to our channel customers.

The TYAN Power Networking Add-on Cards that will be released are the P1201, P1203, P1205 and P1208 cards.  The TYAN Power Networking Add-on Cards designed with different features targeting various customers’ demands from entry to high-end level.  The P1201 is embedded with Intel® 82574L controller.  The P1203, P1205 and P1208 are all embedded with the Intel® 82576 controller.  The P1201, P1203, P1205 and P1208 will work with specific TYAN Nehalem platforms. TYAN has worked with Intel to adopt their proven network technology to offer our mutual customers the best bundle server options possible.   

The TYAN Power HBA/RAID Add-on Cards that will be released are the RAID SAS P3204SR, P3208SR, P3214EHR, P3218EHR, P3219EHRX, P3228EHR and P3301 cards.  The TYAN Power HBA/RAID Add-on Card product lines will use the latest LSI and Marvell technologies that offer multiple cutting edge support tools, flexibility to support 4 to 240 hard drives (dependant on model), superior read/write performance and power storage capacity that fitting in broad range of applications and multiple environments.  By bundling the TYAN Intel® Xeon® 5500 series processor based platforms with the TYAN Power HBA/RAID Add-on Card, customers can expect a fully validated platform that will have better serviceability and easier system deployment at a lower overall cost.

The TYAN Power Add-on Card series product line offers various cutting edge support tools that fit into various IT environments. These network and storage components, backed with Intel and LSI advanced technologies, will allow customers to meet any challenge in their IT infrastructure. Customers can expect enhanced performance and faster connection speeds while running these cards on TYAN’s compatible Intel Xeon 5500 series processor based platforms. By bundling the TYAN Intel Xeon 5500 series processor based platforms with the TYAN Power Add-on Card series, customers can expect a fully validated platform that will have better serviceability and easier system deployment at a lower overall cost.  The TYAN Power Networking Add-on Cards and TYAN Power HBA/RAID Add-on Cards bundle with TYAN platforms will be available worldwide in October.
