TYAN ANNOUNCES 25 SOLUTIONS THAT SUPPORT THE LATEST INTEL® SIX-CORE XEON® 5600 SERIES PROCESSOR

Fremont, CA - March16th, 2010- TYAN, an industry-leading server platform provider which is part of MiTAC International Corp., announces that its 25 platforms embedded with Intel® 5520/5500 chipsets will fully support the latest Intel® Six-Core Xeon® 5600 Series Processors (codenamed “Westmere-EP”) that are built on the 32nm process technology.  TYAN will demonstrate these Intel® Xeon® 5600 Series Processor supporting platforms at the ISS NAMO in Las Vegas, NV on 03/14 through 03/17.  TYAN will also be co-hosting with Intel at an Intel Westmere CPU Workshop in Shanghai, China on 03/29 which is open to all channel customers.

TYAN has launched 15 motherboard platforms and 10 barebones solutions that fully support the Intel® Xeon® 5600 Series Processor. By utilizing the benefits of multiple cores, DDR III R/U DIMM memory and intelligent server processes, TYAN products offer customers the best power consumption management and highest efficiency which together deliver the greatest overall performance at the lowest cost.
