The best a man can get

Server specialist Supermicro is launching two new 7U blade enclosures at CeBIT, both sporting some hefty numbers.

The Datacenter Blade can acommodate 14 blades. With these running Intel 5400s, this means they can offer 672 processing cores per 42U rack.

The Office Blade offers a home to ten blades per 7U enclosure. But the Intel 5400 combined with DDR2 memory means that they are 93 per cent power efficient, the world's highest apparently, and give out less than 50dB of noise.
