Reconciliation
The first flight from China to Taiwan since 1949 touched down in the Taiwanese capital Taipei this morning, signalling a new era of closer ties between the two countries.
Since many of Taiwan’s technology companies do most of their manufacturing in China, this should greatly facilitate the business done between them. This should benefit the entire technology channel, which depends on the products made by these companies for a lot of its business.
This is just one further step towards a full reconciliation between Taiwan and China, but relations are probably as good as they’ve ever been since the 1949. Both countries hailed the flights as symbolic of a new beginning in relations between them.
