It has been rumoured for a little while now that PSU and case vendor Enermax was closing its UK office. The company has now officially confirmed this move, but is stressing that it's working with UK partners to compensate for the closure.

For the past five years Enermax's UK operations have been handled by a subsidiary company called Coolergiant Ltd. In a statement explaining the closure of Coolergiant, Enermax said: "Now it is a good timing (sic) for Enermax to build up a much more competitive and customer-oriented business model."

The statement goes on to explain that Enermax HQ is partnering with SCAN and C&J Computers to ensure product and customer service continues to be supplied. Enermax implies that the handing over of responsibility for logistics and technical support to SCAN and C&J will improve its performance in those areas and that's a distinct possibility.

Enermax concludes by saying that the cash freed up by not having to run the subsidiary will be fed into an increased marketing budget and an expansion of its product range.

Yeah Scan have definitely been talking to the right people.

This just adds another reason to why I deal with Scan… Corsair and Enermax are favourite brands in there respective fields(with Enermax in PSU's + Fans and Corsair with memory) and look to remain my personal favourite choice for some time now.
…competitive and customer-oriented business model.
What have they been doing up till now?.. Giving their customers the middle finger? Streamlining business phrases are a never-ending source of amusement for me.

I understand where they are coming from but it's not exactly an ideal solution because not everyone will buy from scan.

Is a rather silly thing for them to say though you're right lol
