Former Ingram exec moves into mobile phone distribution

20:20 MOBILE Group has unveiled Bhavesh Patel as its new Group Commercial Director.

Bhavesh joins following a 17-year spell at Ingram Micro where he worked in a number of key executive roles, latterly as Commercial Director in the UK since 2001.

In his varied career with Ingram Micro, Bhavesh's roles included Director of Purchasing and Business Development for the Asia-Pacific and European regions and Vice President of Purchasing in the UK, including a 14-month spell as interim Joint Deputy MD.

Bhavesh will support the Company's growth strategy and focus on the alignment and optimisation of category management and expanding strategic vendor relationships.

Commenting on his appointment Group CEO Meinie Oldersma said:

"We are delighted to welcome Bhavesh to the Group. He brings a wealth of commercial experience from the IT sector and a fantastic range of expertise gained as a senior executive with a strong reputation for consistently delivering excellent results.

"Having previously worked with Bhavesh I know he has excellent relationship management skills with both suppliers and customers and will be a real asset to the group".
