Expanding the network

The sales and marketing director for networking product maker Billion, Julian de Selincourt, has identified strength in the SMB market as one of the main reasons for it taking on EntaTech as a UK distribution partner.

"We're delighted to appoint EntaTech, one of the most respected players in the SMB market, as our lead distributor in the UK as they make an ideal strategic partner for future growth," said Selincourt.

"The Billion range fits well within their portfolio and we are looking forward to building on our success to date and positioning the brand as the Premier fixed and mobile router manufacturer for home, SOHO and SME customers."

Enta also has a wholesale ISP arm called Entanet, so taking on a vendor that specialises in carrier-class ADSL2+ modems, wireless routers, 3G routers and VPN gateways makes extra sense.

"We're very pleased to be working with Billion who complement our communications portfolio perfectly," said Jon Atherton, group VP at EntaTech. "They have clear USPs and the demand for secure VPN and high performance networking products is growing fast."
