Ceremonial button pressing aside, the purpose of this part of the event was for us to be able to see the key way in which Shanghai improves on Barcelona.
The following photo of a slide shown at the button-pressing, shows from the bottom up: the wattage used by the two systems, the number of HTTP requests processed per second and the number of watts required to process each request.
This top chart was the one AMD wanted to draw our attention to and, as you can see, the figure is around 35 percent lower for Shanghai.
