NEW YORK, NY – (April 29, 2010) – Hercules, the digital audio specialist, expands its successful XPS multimedia speaker line with the new XPS 2.0 35 USB, 2.0 USB-powered speakers for on-the-go listening and the XPS 5.1 70 Slim. Created with the same slim design as their popular XPS 2.1 Slim Speaker line, the XPS 5.1 70 Slim features five ultra-slim satellite speakers and a wooden-made subwoofer for the full surround sound experience. Offering freedom from cord clutter and the need of a wall outlet, the XPS 2.0 35 USB portable speakers provide an ideal solution for laptop and netbook users. Laptop Users can trade in their usually poor sounding built-in speakers for audio that is richer and more balanced with the mids and bass of their favorite tunes.  This set of speakers also features a headphone jack and microphone input for practical chatting online and voice over IP as well as a master volume knob on the right satellite speaker. Compact and lightweight, the XPS 2.0 35 come with their own padded carrying case for use at home or on the go.

Hercules XPS 5.1 70 Slim

A clear immersive sound speaker solution at an accessible price, the XPS 5.1 70 Slim delivers the sound computer movie watchers and gaming enthusiasts have been asking for. Featuring the popular Hercules ultra-slim design, the five satellite speakers include a center speaker that is thinner than current market standards and features a flat-screen mounting system. This set of speakers also offers greater energy savings with a power supply that uses less than 1 watt of power in standby mode, an enhancement that few systems on the market have yet to offer. Users will find controlling this system easy with the included wired remote featuring a 3-function control knob for turning the standby mode on or off or adjusting the volume and bass. The remote also incorporates a headphone jack, a microphone input and an auxiliary line input for easy connection to an MP3 player, and a virtual surround sound button allowing users to have the surround experience even from stereo 2-channel audio sources.
