New and Improved Features for Mobile TV and Video Editing

New technology, full DVD resolution and the best picture quality you can receive through the USB bus – these are just some of the features of the new external TV card Cinergy 400 USB by TerraTec Electronic GmbH. By selecting the first choice in interfaces – Universal Serial Bus (USB) - TerraTec has made the Cinergy 400 easy to handle and install. USB is particularly well-suited for portable, notebook-based applications. The Nettetal-based company’s mobile Cinergy 400 USB endows notebooks and computers with TV reception capability via antenna or cable, respectively.

This mobile TV solution is as small as a cigarette pack. It connects directly to the USB 2.0 interface, which also supplies the power. In addition, Cinergy 400 USB enables users to digitise videos. The Cinergy 400 USB will be available in April for £99.99p inc VAT.

The Cinergy 400 USB gets the TV signal directly from an antenna or broadband cable. Video signals from devices such as VHS recorders, DVD players or video cameras are easily patched in via the Composite or S-VHS port.

The offering not only boasts premium hardware; a suite of perfectly matched software rounds out the package. The Cinergy 400 USB ships with an extensive and remarkably convenient software package that enables users to view videos and record TV broadcasts. Even time-shifted broadcasts are an option. Viewing sessions can readily be interrupted, with the program to be resumed later at the same place.

To reduce the amount of space required to archive films on hard disk or CD, the Cinergy 400 USB supports virtually all standard video codecs (for example, DivX). With the included video recording software, video CDs and DVDs can be created with just a few mouse clicks. A remote control is included.
