PRESS RELEASE

  • O2 customers on selected Pay As You Go data Big Bundles can now carry their unused data over to the following month
  • O2 continues drive to give customers greater flexibility and control of their data usage

Thursday 22nd February: O2 has launched data rollover, the latest update to its Pay as You Go data Big Bundle plans, giving customers even more flexibility and control over their monthly data usage.

Research carried out by O2* revealed that over two thirds (64%) of customers don’t manage their data well, either exceeding their data usage or having spare data at the end of each month.

So from today, eligible customers on selected plans will be able to carry over data they don’t use into the following month’s data allowance. Data rollover will be available on the most popular Pay As You Go data Big Bundle plans: £15/5GB, £20/6GB and £25/8GB, with customers able to carry forward up to 100% of their standard monthly data allowance into the following month’s data allowance, subject to a cap on the total data that can be held in any one month. For example, customers on the £15 tariff will be subject to at 10GB maximum, those on the 12GB tariff a 12GB maximum and those on the £25 tariff a £16GB maximum.

The new initiative gives data hungry customers the chance to have full control over their usage and avoid wasting chunks of precious unused data from that month. This way, users can avoid unexpected bills and save more for upcoming data-draining moments such as travelling, festivals or music events. To enjoy the full benefits of data rollover, customers simply need to top up before their previous plan expires.

Data rollover is available for Pay as You Go customers on selected Big Bundle tariffs. For more information on eligibility and terms and conditions, visit o2.co.uk
