Radio manufacturer PURE has unveiled a user-friendly ‘me-time’ radio called ONE Mi to offer listeners its most affordable quality digital radio to date.

ONE Mi is a compact version of the PURE One, which is the best-selling portable radio in the UK. Designed to be ‘the world’s most affordable quality digital radio,’ PURE says the ONE Mi is small yet powerful for general household use. It boasts punchy audio quality and volume through DAB, plus FM, clear digital display, 16 presets, multilingual menus and a USB socket for future updates.

Available in black or white, ONE Mi retails for £34.99. When fitted with the optional rechargeable A1 ChargePAK, the radio can also provide up to 18 hours of portable listening.

ONE Mi is part of PURE’s EcoPlus environmental initiative. The products have reduced power consumption in operation and standby, plus their packaging and components are selected to minimise environmental impact.

“ONE Mi is the radio which really takes digital radio mainstream, delivering great quality digital radio at a great value price,” says Colin Crawford, director of marketing at PURE. “It’s the digital radio equivalent of your trusted old transistor radio and the perfect soundtrack to some well deserved me-time,” he adds.

Now all they need is an affordable stereo version.
Can't knock Pure for sound quality :) I love my Evoke-2.

This is an ideal kitchen radio for the masses, should sell well if it's got that Pure sound the market has come to expect.

Completely agree about Evoke 2 … and most (but not all) Pure sets.

The critical word, for me, in your comment is the bit I highlighted in red. If it is, I'll have one, without doubt …. though a socket for my MP3 player, or even an SD card slot, would be nice. But has it that Pure sound? I guess there's only one way to find out.
