Subtle
Acer was one of the first PC OEMs to fully embrace the smartphone, but things have gone a bit quiet recently. Just before Computex 2010, however, Acer snuck-out a new handset - the Steam - and at the show itself it's displaying a new take on its predecessor - the Liquid.
We all know about the long-standing relationship Acer has with Ferrari thanks to its special-edition notebooks with bright red Ferrari livery plastered all over them. Well that's now been extended to its smartphones, with no less striking an effect.
The HEXUS Computex team was able to persuade Acer to take the Acer Liquid E Ferrari out of its cabinet for a bit of a photo-shoot, which you can see below. There's also a bright red Bluetooth headset for those who think the phone alone doesn't make a strong enough statement and you get special Ferrari wallpaper and even ringtones that sound like a Ferrari engine.
Here are the photos, including one of the Android 2.1 Steam.
