Still have Facebook, Google+, Foursquare, Skype and Windows Live Messenger on your list of most wanted native iPad apps?

Well, you can strike off one of those as Skype has today launched a dedicated app for Apple's hugely-popular tablet.

Skype for iPad, now available from the iTunes app store, brings users two-way video calling (one-way only for first-generation iPad owners), instant messaging and SMS text messaging in an interface optimised for the tablet's 10in display.

Video calling is available over a Wi-Fi or 3G connection, and those wanting to enjoy Skype's premium features can call landlines or mobiles from within the app, as well as obtain an Online Number that'll let people call you on your iPad.

Check out the video demo below, or head straight on over to the Apple app store to try it for yourself.
