Looking Closer - Back

The back of the phone is dominated by the large stainless steel battery cover, with the only bit of external plastic making up the top of the phone itself. The battery cover is awful, there is no other way to put it. The two small clips that hold the cover on are too small to get your fingers on easily, and being steel, the cover is very difficult to remove.

Sliding the screen open also reveals the SVGA specification camera. It’s disappointing to see a lack of megapixel technology appearing on the 8800, especially considering the progress that their competitors have made in this technology segment.
