E3 2005: Ubisoft line-up

We gave a quick peak at Ubisoft’s line-up for E3 2005 a few weeks ago, but now it’s time to take a closer look at what those giants of gaming have got lined up for us at their booth in LA later this month.

Ubisoft are working on stuff for the next-gen consoles with a preview of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon 3 on show, which, it’s claimed, will demonstrate some of the incredible capacities of the new console. Ubisoft will also provide a glimpse of Peter Jackson's King Kong, being developed for all platforms, including next-generation stuff.

America's Army: Rise of a Soldier
PC gamers have virtually experienced life as a U.S. Soldier sine 2002. Now, thanks to an agreement between Ubisoft and the U.S. Army, console gamers will be able to join the experience beginning in summer 2005. The PC version of America's Army has consistently ranked among the most popular PC action games played online. Since its public release, more than 3.3 million players have joined America's Army, completing more than 600 million missions logging over 60 million hours of gameplay.

Built in partnership with the U.S. Army, and developed by Secret Level, America's Army: Rise of a Soldier offers the most true-to-life Army experience, allowing you to create a soldier and take him through the thrills and adventure of an army career. Intense single-player missions and high-adrenaline multiplayer action build the skills of your soldier and advance him through his career.

Far Cry Instincts
You all know the score with this one. After escorting an inquisitive journalist to a remote tropical island, Jack Carver finds himself stranded in paradise, hunted by an unrelenting team of highly trained mercenaries.

Far Cry Instincts is essentially the console re-mix of the superb PC game. Promising to incorporate state-of-the-art graphics technology and a host of innovative FPS gameplay conventions, Far Cry Instincts is being developed for the next-gen consoles as well as, at the time of writing, PS2 and XBox.
