eSports gains momentum
VIA technologies invited us to visit their new ‘Home of Chrome’, an eSports training facility, and home to one of the leading professional gaming clans, the Girlz of Destruction. Located in the heart of one of the fastest broadband connection areas in the World, the facility is home to four members of the seven member all-girl gaming team, and a focal point for the competitive gaming community.
HEXUS.gaming took a trip to the beautiful Land Of the Vikings to spend some time in the girl's new home, at the official Home of Chrome launch party, and discover how this facility plans to raise the profile of professional gaming.
Click for larger imageThe Home of Chrome consists of 4 girl’s bedroom for the team members, Missy, Ms.X, Trito, and Liefje, 2 bedrooms for the guests, a sauna, a LAN room, and the standard additional rooms you would find in any home.

The girls don’t just spend hours together training, the Home of Chrome is an open facility for other gamers to visit, train with the girls, and compete against them. This doesn’t mean you can just drop by, they might be in the sauna, but you can apply to visit at any time. Even though the girls live here, it’s a welcoming, sociable place to visit, with all the facilities you’d need to hone those gaming skills, they might even bake you some homemade cookies!
The LAN gaming room was complete with 8 machines, optimized to provide the performance needed to compete with the World’s best players.
