Following on from Parm mann’s feature entitled ‘Five must-have Xbox 360 games that you may have missed‘, this week we’d thought we’d let you know about 5 Wii games that you may have missed.

In Wii’s relatively short life cycle you may have been wowed by Super Mario Galaxy, been battling it out relentlessly online in Super Mario Kart or even been keeping yourself healthy with Wii Fit, but there are plenty of other great Wii games out there that you might have missed.

Without further ado, we reckon these five titles are well worth a look:

Geometry Wars : Galaxies

The shape-blasting Geometrry Wars series on any platform is brilliant and on Wii it makes intelligent use of the Wii-mote as your senses are given a treat thanks to the superb use of music, eye-catching visuals and fast-paced and addictive gameplay.

The gameplay takes part on a grid in which you’re totally confined to a geometrical area. Within this area you have to fight off dozens of shapes by moving around the area dodging them and the missiles that they fire, whilst attempting to destroy them with your own weapons. Geometry Wars Galaxies is all about movement. There’s often so much happening on screen, shapes exploding into half a dozen smaller shapes, clusters of shapes attacking you from all angles and trails of bullets and missiles filling the entire screen, that you constantly need to be on your toes, weaving your way in and out of safe spots, whilst trying to rotate your aiming line so that it’s pointing directly at the ever-changing array of enemies.

A comprehensive single player mode, co-op and competitive multiplayer modes and a free copy of the Xbox live arcade title Retro Evolved are just three of the many reasons why you should take a look at Geometry Wars: Galaxies.
