Rockstar's Table Tennis

2. Rockstar's Table Tennis

Number two in our list is a cheap-but-cheerful title from everyone's favourite developer, Rockstar Games. When Rockstar first announced its debut title for the Xbox 360 would be simply a game of Table Tennis, the interweb raised its collective brow and offered just a few simple letters; WTF?

Those who gave it a whirl, however, soon fell in love with one of the simplest, yet most rewarding sports titles to date. In fact, we'd go as far as to say that Rockstar's Table Tennis is still one of the best sports titles available on the Xbox 360. If you're really into your one-on-one multiplayer matches, there's little out there as enthralling as Table Tennis - get a rally going, see the lights dim, the sound echo, and your heart will race. Finish your opponent off and you'll be hard pushed to find a more satisfying feeling from a computer game.

The intuitive control system is a joy, and the graphics are pretty jaw-dropping too. With little content on screen at one time, Rockstar was able to truly detail the characters and it makes for a sports game as life-like as they come. Even the sound is spectacular.

Oddly enough, perhaps the one factor putting people off is Table Tennis' ridiculously low price-tag. Rest assured, this isn't just a cheap title to pass time, it's a complete bargain. The game officially launched at a lower-than-usual price of £29.99. Today, it can be had for a whole lot less. If you're in the mood for a spectacular multiplayer sports game, be it locally or via Xbox Live, this one's still worth getting.
