Super Mario Galaxy, Army of Two, Alan Wake, Halo 3

Super Mario Galaxy - Wii

The ultimate Nintendo hero is taking the ultimate step … out into space. Mario will usher in a new era of video games, defying gravity across all the planets in the galaxy. Mario will take advantage of all the unique aspects of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controller, unleashing new moves as players shake the controller and even point at and drag items with the pointer.

Players run, jump and battle enemies as they explore all the planets in the galaxy. Since this game makes full use of all the features of the Wii Remote, players have to do all kinds of things to succeed: pressing buttons, swinging the Wii Remote and the Nunchuk, and even pointing at and dragging things with the pointer.

Army of Two – PS3/Xbox 360

We’re looking forward to seeing what EA are going to do with Army of Two. Alain Tascan, VP and General Manager of EA Montréal has already heightened our expectations by bad mouthing Gears of War back in November, so if Army of Two doesn’t live up to the hype then we’ll be sorely disappointed.

Developed at EA's boutique production house in Montréal, Canada, the new, original intellectual property will redefine strategic TWO man cooperative play when it launches on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox360. ARMY OF TWO will throw gamers into hot spots ripped from current day headlines where they will utilize unique TWO man strategies and tactics while seamlessly transitioning between playing with intelligent Partner AI (PAI) and a live player. When one man is not enough, it will take an army of two to fight through war, political turmoil and a conspiracy so vast it threatens the entire world.

Alan Wake – Xbox 360/PC

Alan Wake is a psychological action thriller from Remedy, the legendary and renowned developers of highly successful action titles. In this exciting new title exclusively for Windows and Xbox 360, gamers assume the role of Alan Wake, a best-selling suspense author who escapes to a small town to recover from the mysterious disappearance of his fiancée.

Set in the deceptively idyllic town of Bright Falls, Wash., “Alan Wake” immerses players in an intense and expansive cinematic world that enables players to roam freely in hyper-realistic, dynamic and interactive environments. “Alan Wake” is mission-based with a deeply engaging and suspenseful story line unveiling new twists and profound character revelations at every turn. Players will unravel the riveting plot through multilayered character interactions, unique problem-solving and intense combat against terrifying enemies. In this nightmarish world, Alan Wake must use a variety of weapons to survive, including his most powerful ally against the creatures of darkness — light itself.

HALO 3 – Xbox 360

Last, but certainly not least, is Halo 3. The latest game in the epic Halo series will feature a re-vamped multiplayer and a number of new weapons and vehicles including the Spartan laser, Spike grenades and the Brute Hammer. The Mongoose ATV will feature as one of the drivable vehicles and they’ll be a return of the old favourites such as the Warthog, Banshee, Ghost as well as all the familiar weapons such as battle rifles, plasma grenades and the Brute shot.

The beta testing begins in the Spring and, if you don’t manage to secure a place, we hear that Microsoft are offering free places on the beta when you buy a copy of Crackdown on the Xbox 360.

Nice feature. I cant wait to play most of those. Its shaping up to be another great year for games :)
Crysis for me.. that's about the only one on the list that's ‘calling’ to me (I love Far Cry) but I don't own a console and have no intention of getting one either! :)
hmm….

No Resident Evil on the 360 ?

yet you include WoW Burning Crucade :o

Corr… I know my list would not have WoW in anymore. It's repeative as hell ( go kill x tribe and collect 20 of this, that and the other *yawn* ) and in all honesty I found that it got boring after 6 months.
No Spore?

But I'm looking forward to most of em tbh. Looks like a cracking year for games.

Maybe even STALKER will come out??!! ;)

Oh don't be silly, we all know this year its Duke Nukem out, they can't bring STALKER and Duke Nukem at the same time, it would cause a rip in space time continum.
