Press release

Friday 12th October/...SouthPeak Games is today celebrating four weeks in the UK’s top 10 chart for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, thanks to its incredible original role playing adventure Two Worlds.

The game, released on September 7th 2007, is the firm’s biggest hit on Xbox 360 to date, surprising retail, whose initial allocation has been quickly diminished. Southpeak Games is currently working hard to get stock back into the channel.

“Two Worlds has taken the Xbox 360 world by storm,” said Melanie Mroz, Executive Vice President, SouthPeak Games. “To say we’re ecstatic with how the title has performed in the UK is an absolute understatement. Its success is down to a combination of factors – right time, right format, right publisher – but most importantly it’s a cracking game which has sated the desire of Xbox 360’s avid role-players. This is just the start of our plans for Two Worlds – we’ll be announcing more good news shortly.”

Two Worlds was developed in Poland by Reality Pump, previously known for the acclaimed RTS Earth 2140.

Using a bespoke graphics engine, Two Worlds tells the tale of an epic clash between Orcs and Humans that steadily unfolds to provide an over-arching story. Players embarking on the grand quest will find a dynamic world that adjusts to their actions, complemented by a career system that allows incredible freedom in character development. A plethora of side quests accompany the main story and there’s a staggeringly large array of items and equipment to collect.

Ploughing its considerable experience into the mammoth task of constructing an RPG on the scale of Two Worlds, Reality Pump has significantly raised the bar for both the genre, and similar titles following in its wake.
