Gamestation has just launched Europe’s very first ‘Microsoft Underground X-perience’ at its Birmingham New Street store – the ultimate gaming experience and a chance to worship all things Microsoft.

The ‘Microsoft Underground X-perience’ opened on the 6th October 2006 at Gamestation’s flagship store, offering a truly unique retail experience. The basement has been transformed into a gamer’s paradise, complete with big leather sofas, beanbags and six wall-mounted HDTVs, creating a stylish chill out pad.

A Master Chief mannequin from Halo 2 will welcome gamers into the hallowed space before immersing them in the latest and hottest products and titles from Microsoft. Whether it’s shopping, just chilling on a beanbag or competing in multiplayer games via the six Xbox 360 pods, gamers will find the ultimate place to hang out. More than just gaming, Gamestation’s ‘Microsoft Underground X-perience’ will bring customers the latest peripherals and products, including exclusive insights into the new Windows program, Vista. Following on from the success of Microsoft’s dedicated retail experiences in Japan and the USA, the launch marks Gamestation’s flagship store as Europe’s best gaming location.

Mike Logue, Gamestation Managing Director, says, “Gamestation has been chosen by Microsoft to host the only ‘Microsoft Underground X-perience’ in Europe, which confirms our position as the gamers’ choice and offers our customers more than just a retail experience. With Microsoft leading the next generation in gaming, the ‘Underground X-perience’ is definitely Europe’s gaming Mecca and the launch shows we know exactly what gamers want.”

X marks the spot, so rush down to Gamestation at 138 New Street, Birmingham and be one of the first to check out the ‘Microsoft Underground X-perience’

Oooh that sounds cool! Get some pics if you can Steven, I'm not too far myself but I don't fancy making the trip unless it's truly stunning.
Got some pics, doesn't look that impressive, more like chav central but it's better than nothing.

I'll upload them tommorow.
Shame the Brum store looks like a building site.
For a flagship store, its quite shocking.
Oh dear, sounds like you might have saved me a trip to Brum!
