Sony's Killzone 2 has received rave reviews from all corners of the net, even from Microsoft itself, but the Xbox 360 manufacturer and developer reckons it has something even more technically special up its sleeve.

QJ.Net has a quote from a Microsoft representative who claims that upcoming Xbox 360 exclusives will surpass the technical achievements of Killzone 2.

"We congratulate Sony and Guerrilla Games for their efforts with Killzone 2, however this is only the beginning of a new wave. The current technology employed for certain unannounced Xbox 360 exclusives far surpasses what gamers have seen in any game so far," reads the statement.

"Gears of War was the beginning of this technological benchmark when released on the 360 and this lineage will be carried forward in the following months with exclusives that shall stand for a new definition of gaming experience and provide stiff competition for the opposition."

Killzone 2 developer, Guerrilla Games has already said that the limitations of the Xbox 360 would make its shooter practically impossible to develop for the Xbox 360, so it's going to take something pretty special from Microsoft to match it.

The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in June seems to be the ideal stage for Microsoft to show off its new wares.

As long as it's not Gears of War 3, meh :p
Halo 4 …

I'd actually like to see what they come up with.
Crysis? Its beaten every game if they are on about graphical changes and it will be pretty impossible to make a better game on any console with the petty 7800 equivialnt in both ps3 and 360(its petty in comparison to pc just a FYI). I didnt like killzone 1 at all but maybe kz2 is alot better? I remember when sony were saying its a halo killer and then it got so badly reviewed.

I wish they didnt say it would be impossible for kz2 to be on 360 because i highly doubt it, bluray my ass really as they just waste the extra 30gb of space. A film on bluray uses alot more than a hd-dvd vid and provides the same quality so it shows how uncompressed it is lol.
I hope they aren't talking about Ninja Blade….that looks like a God of War rip off

kz2 is alot better and probably the most feature rich MP ever for an fps game and to boot, the most gorgous FPS game on a console(imo).

kz1 was runnish though but number 2 does everything right minus the controls
