Thanks to the awesome power of translation, a key fact has been revealed about the games length in a praise filled review from a Spanish magazine.

According to the Hobby Consolas write-up, the single-player campaign of Alan Wake will be a not too shabby 10 to 16 hours long.

The review also went on to say that Alan Wake had 'spectacular lightning, atmosphere and sounds combined with big scares and a perfect story rhythm that will leave you glued to the controller from start to finish'.

Hobby Consolas gave the title 93 per cent - but you'll have to wait a short wile for the HEXUS verdict.

I have old games which give you a solid 2 weeks of game play, to play it once, and that doesn't even cover the entire scope of the game.. When did we start considering 16 hours ‘impressive’? :/
I was listening to the eurogamer podcast this morning & Ellie mentioned the NDA was until the 5th/6th next month?

I agree 16hours is impressive compared to something like MW2 but that doesn't mean it's a decent length, I think I'm in my 60th hour on Fallout 3 at the moment, my last playthrough was 70hrs, now THAT's worth £50 for a game!
Prototype gave me way more than 10-16 hours i reckon
I expect 30 hours before I start to think “impressive”.

10 is bordering on unacceptable for a full price title.
Is it right you should be comparing a RPG's scope to this action/adventure genre game ?
