Is the headset any good?

The Headset:

The Siberia V2 looks brilliant; it’s a very modern but complicated design, with the headset appearing to sit above the head.

This headset in white looks amazing. Its coupled arches over the top, the black leather and headband and partial metal design all work together to make these headphones look very nice indeed.

This headset doesn’t just have a nice appearance though; it’s also a great performer. The sound quality from these headphones blew my Sony’s out of the water, I think the richness and quality of the sound was mainly because of the very good sound isolation that these headphones provide though.

These headphones are also very comfortable and stupidly light; some may not like a light headset, but I really enjoyed it. The suspension-type hold over your head is excellent, it made them extremely comfortable and also got rid of the “adjust to fit your head” because it does that for you, they fit my young sister’s head and my head perfectly with no adjustment in-between. The leather ear-cups just add to the comfort as well, they isolate sound very well and are extremely comfortable, easily comfy enough to wear for hours on end. The headset is also very well constructed and felt strong enough to be thrown about day after day without taking any damage; they even managed to get run over by a wheel on my chair and came out unscathed.

The retractable microphone included in the left-hand ear cup was a really nice feature, it’s barely noticeable if you just want to listen to music but pulled out really easily when you started up a conversation. The sound quality from the mic is really good, too. My friends instantly noticed the difference when I used this new headset, complementing its clarity and volume.

I’d have liked to have seen a braided cable on this headset, just because of the price, but never the less, it’s still a suitably good cable. It’s a good length, especially with the extender provided, boosting it from 1m to 3m. There’s also a volume control and microphone mute switch included about 60cm from the headphone unit, I found myself talking to no-one on a few occasions though, with the switch being a little too easy to knock.
