Multiplayer and the World Editor

Titan Quest supports LAN and online play for up to six other people. The online game plays exactly the same way as the single player mode and you can take your single player character back and forth online as you please. If you fancy you can create a new character and start from scratch, just for the online sessions. The story unfolds exactly as it does int he single player game, but this time you’re in a co-op game with a few others. The online mode is a lot of a fun (as long as you don’t mind going over ground covered already in the singleplayer). One advantage is you get to see some of the other character classes and what they can do at higher levels, handy if you fancy making a switch and starting a new single player game. The community seems very friendly and all the parties I’ve been in have been in have proven to be enjoyable sessions.

Titan Quest ships with a full editor’s kit, allowing you to create your own levels and dungeons to explore. You can create quests, add your own artwork and the world editor will let you slot it all together. There’s even a handy modder’s guide on the disk to help newbies get to grips with the initially daunting toolset. To be honest, I just haven’t got the patience or skill for this kind of thing but thankfully there are people out there that have the time and talent to actually create something rather good. I should imagine that over the next few months new maps and levels will start popping up on the fansites. This will extend the life of Titan Quest even further and give players something new to look forward to.
