Pimping your ride is a lot of fun

Part of PURE’s addictive draw is its wealth of unlockable content, including tracks and events, but particularly the content that relates to your ride. Providing you rank well in each race, you’ll unlock a variety of performance enhancing mods, such as tire packs, brake kits and race shocks, as well as items that make your vehicle more visually appealing (you can then bring your ‘pimped up’ ATV online).

Each ATV has a list of statistics, including speed, handling and tricks (how well you can perform stunts on the bike). By unlocking mods and using parts from the garage already available to you, you can build different ATV vehicles to suit different terrains or different event types. With 65,000 parts on offer, the customisation system is fairly in-depth, but designing your ATV is still a simple and fun process thanks to an accessible and smooth system for tweaking your ride.

Primarily though, the biggest draw is the thrill of the ride as you speed across beautifully designed and visually impressive snow-capped Italian mountains, jump across gaping chasms in New Mexico or whizz around the rim of a volcano in New Zealand.

Although each race accurately captures the feeling of speed (motion blur effects and all), it does so without compromising the ride, ensuring that you always feel connected and in control of your vehicle as it skids around corners and rampages up ramps.

Aside from the well-designed tracks, which sport multiple pathways and a variety of ramps in which to launch yourself off, tricks play a huge part in PURE and are ultimately what sets it apart from the other excellent racers out there.
