Aside from the online component, Yoostar 2 boasts a strong campaign mode, offering a steady progression from lowly actor to Hollywood legend. You jump into various famous scenes, where you are set a series of acting challenges that increase in difficulty. As the dialogue scrolls across, you have to stand within the silhouette presented on screen, and deliver your lines like a true Thespian. There are also challenges where you have to ad-lib against the back-drop of a famous setting, and two player scenes, but largely you’ll be hamming it up alone and getting rewarded with stars and points for your efforts. It’s a format that works very well, with plenty of unlockables to reward you along the way for your efforts. There’s also a feeling of satisfaction to be gained from achieving perfect performances and then letting uploading your video for all to see.

The main problem with Yoostar 2 is that it doesn’t look half as great as the trailers and T.V. coverage suggests, so whether you’re pleased or totally disappointed with it is really going to depend on your expectations in the first place. If you're expecting the quality of footage to look like that lady in the T.V. adverts, who seamlessly slips into a scene from 'The Terminator' as if she were actually in the movie, then the likelihood is you’ll be sorely disappointing. However, if you have a professional lighting set-up and a green screen, or an understanding of how to set up lights in a studio so you can eliminate any shadows, then you'll probably be quite happy with the results on screen. From my experience - despite gathering a collection of lamps and setting them up around me, spending a lot of time trying to light myself up effectively - even having people standing around me holding the lights at various angles - the quality isn't that great. This is the best I managed to get it...and I put a lot of effort in getting the best picture I could with what I had available.
