Benchmarks: CPU, Memory and System

Basemark OS II, a system-level benchmark, continues to highlight the strength of Apple's A7 SoC in the System and Web tests, but the tables are turned in the Memory and Graphics analysis. The results thus far tell us that the Shield Tablet's CPU is quick, but the handheld's true potential is realised by 2GB of DDR3 RAM and 192 Kepler graphics cores.

Going by these numbers, the Shield Tablet offers almost 6x the graphics capabilities of the latest-generation iPad Mini, and almost 28x the graphics performance of an iPad 3. Such gains demand a closer look at this 192-core trailblazer...
