Introduction

Cooler Master - one of the best-known makers of high-end aluminium PC cases and heat-pipe coolers - was founded in 1992 and now employs more than 2,200 people worldwide.

Its headquarters are in Taipei, Taiwan and there are ten branch offices around the world, three of them in Europe - UK, Netherlands and Germany.

Last year, the company generated revenue of US$206 million, over half coming from the Electronic Cooling Business unit that supplies product for others to sell under their own brand or as part of a complete solution.

Due to the large amount of the ODM/OEM business it carries out, the company's cooling solutions can be found inside about a quarter of all desktop PCs.

Many HEXUS readers will be familiar with Cooler Master's range. Few, however, will be know much about the company or how it manages to create products that are so generally well received.

Well, that's about to change!

The company recently invited us - along with some of its customers (pictured below) - to tour its manufacturing facilities in China.
