Nvidia held a clean sweep in the gaming tests and those are the most important metrics by which most users will choose to evaluate the cards by.

However, looking into non-gaming performance - OpenCL and compute - shows the Radeon's intrinsic muscle. As I mentioned in the original review, AMD's architecture is more muscular from a throughput and bandwidth perspective - indeed, it is far more like the RTX 2080 Ti - and some evidence of that brute strength is displayed above.

Is the gaming enthusiast unduly concerned with such benchmarks? Nope, but for those who like to use the GPU for accelerating workloads, Radeon VII does make sense.
