I have to say I just loaded 12 cores at 4GHz sustained for over and hour and peaking at 75C during folding at home whilst drawing ~110W. So my new Ryzen 3900X is probably up there.

Beyond that, my Soundblaster AWE32 always evokes memories of utter component insanity.

Oooh, I forgot - Voodoo3 was awesome.
Pentium 4 was excellent also. I've never had eggs so perfectly done.
Radeon HD2900Pro. 50% GPU Clock Overclock… It was crazy, crazy days. I didn't have it for that long, a couple of years, but it was such a joy and a bargain.
64Gb M225 Crucial SSD.

The move from HDD probably had the quickest biggest impact for me.
