The widespread availability of windowed chassis and RGB-laden components has made it easier than ever to create an eye-catching PC, but if you really want to stand out from the crowd, then you need to get modding.

We've seen some terrific-looking rigs over the years, but the very best mods certainly aren't easy, and given the rising cost of high-end components, it takes a brave soul to chop and change those shiny new purchases.

To get a feel for where the modding community stands today, we're asking whether or not your PC is modded. If not, is it something you'd be interested in? And if you consider yourself an expert in the field, where should newcomers look to get started? Share your thoughts using the comments facility below.

Currently Doing a Cyberpunk-2077 Mod, Cutting up the front panel on the masterbox 5. Putting some denim, black and purple plastidip after hot glueing some wire mesh/grill as a filter in. Spraying the psu shroud static yellow with CP2077 decals in purple. the back of the case is being sprayed the purple to match the front. Hot pink normal spray paint will be sprayed in part with a dark bronze. THEN THERE ARE THE PURPLE CATHODES. One hidden to highlight the components from above and one sticking out of the front of the case.
Modded = Yes.
I use PicoPSU and a 12V block - but else it looks like at physics experiment with loose SSD, power blocks, cables and all, half open cabinet over.
It looks so bad that no thief will evar steal it.
I've only in the last couple of years, since buying a Fractal Design Define R5, got round to tucking the wiring away reasonably tidily. Modding is a step tooooo far.
Nah…
my pc's specs bare little comparison to the original delivered item but the pc case is stuck behind a huge tv or under the desk and i look at the tv or monitor to see what the pc does. i don't want lights to make the bedroom or living room look like close encounters of the third kind at night time. some of the case mods look cool but it seems an easy way to blow a lot of money on something pretty pointless and the money could be better spent on something more useful unless you've a very rich kid. i don't think girls are going to be impressed and want to date you cuz your pc case doesn't look like a standard dell
