Apple has today confirmed earlier leaks with the launch of a revamped MacBook.
The 13.3in system, pictured below, has been upgraded to include a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics.
Priced from £849, the system touts up to 10 hours of battery life - the longest to date for any MacBook system - and comes enclosed in Apple's familiar polycarbonate unibody chassis.
Measuring 274mm thick and weighing in at 2.13kg, the entry-level Mac offers a 1,280x800 screen resolution, two USB ports, Mini DisplayPort, Gigabit Ethernet, Wireless N, Bluetooth 2.1 and an integrated iSight camera.
Equipped with 2GB of DDR3 memory and 250GB of hard-disk storage as standard, the MacBook can be configured to include 4GB of memory at a cost of £81, whilst storage capacity can be doubled to 500GB for a further £123.
The new MacBook is available now from Apple's online store and is expected to ship within 24 hours.
