Winning streak?

Dell has revealed its first Android 4G capable tablet, the Streak 7, which is set to make its debut in the US in the coming weeks.

The compact 7 inch tablet is powered by Android 2.2 and is designed to act as an entertainment hub. The tablet, which sports a WVGA touch screen with Gorilla Glass, has a dual core 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, 16GB internal memory inside and support for Adobe Flash.

The Streak 7 also features Dell's Stage UI to provide ‘a seamless and unified experience for accessing content' according to the firm and Dell plans to add syncing to Stage later this year so people can sync their photos, contacts and calendars with Dell PCs.

Dell's Streak 7 boasts a rear-facing 5MP camera for HD stills and video recording, plus a front-facing 1.3MP camera plus preloaded Qik Video Chat app to facilitate video calling over T-Mobile's network.

The tablet was launched in conjunction with T-Mobile to run on its 4G network and comes preloaded apps: T-Mobile TV, an on-demand TV service, Zinio online newsstand, plus various other apps.

It is not currently known whether the Dell Streak 7 will come to Europe or how much it will cost in the US.

Tablet Review reported that a 10 inch tablet was also launched at Dell's press event at CES but no specifics were revealed including the tablet's name. However, it is reportedly expected that the mysterious slate will roll out within the next year and that it will be aimed at business people.
