Sides - inside and out
The left side of the Tuniq 3 has two vents, the upper one pre-drilled with holes to attach an optional 80mm fan. Rather annoyingly, Tuniq has left the holes open. Surely, four plastic caps don't cost a lot?
The second vent area isn't able to accept a fan, although, if you opt for the variant with a pre-fitted window it will hold a 120mm fan, confused? Yup, so are we.
With the side panel removed, it's clear that the interior layout is far from normal. We'll explain on the next page what that main bar in the middle is all about so, for now, let's talk about everything around it.
The front of the case features tool-less fittings on the externally-accessible 3.5in and 5.25in drive bays. In contrast, the three-bay 3.5in HDD caddy at the bottom uses simple snap-in sliders that have first to be attached to the drives.
Although there are plenty of vents around the sides of the chassis, the Tuniq 3 doesn't come as standard with a front 120mm fan - but you can fit one yourself if desired.
At the rear of the chassis you can see the 120mm fan and the snap-in expansion-card fittings. There's a vent alongside the expansion slots but no pre-prepared water cooling holes.
