Conclusion

...the CL500 is easy to work with and decent value at £80, but as the old adage goes, you get what you pay for.

Deepcool's £80 CL500 mid-tower chassis promises high-airflow credentials without breaking the bank.

Free from RGB lighting and other gaudy additions, the black-and-grey design is inoffensive, there's enough room to house powerful hardware, and a couple of useful additions help enhance the product. These include a tinted and easily removable windowed side panel, an integrated GPU support bracket, a full-length PSU shroud and USB Type-C connectivity on the top I/O panel.

Plenty to ensure a hassle-free build, but there are limitations that prevent the CL500 from standing out among its immediate competitors. The fixed top fan mounts are limited to 120s, there's little attempt to dampen noise, only a single basic fan is included in the bundle, and overall build quality could be better.

Bottom line: the CL500 is easy to work with but doesn't offer any standout features for the £80 asking fee.

@Hexus your charts highlight the bars for the Fractal Define 7 Compact and don't list the Deepcool CL500 that I can see. Typo? Or Wrong graph links?

Also what happened to giving a table of specs? No of bays, fans included, mobo sizes etc etc.
That front panel is hideous
ATX form factor is so outdated its too big most people don't use pci cards. 5-10% of people overclock with AMD overclocking is all but dead yet for some reason remains the most popular form factor with hideously large cases for all the extra AIO cooling.
I keep misreading Deadcool as Deadpool. I think Marvel is missing a sponsorship trick here!! :P
why dont they measure temperatures during whether conditions could be like 10-20-30 degrees Celcius enviroment, it would grant a much more clear idea on how hot the system would run in a real life scenario… else can't really use the temperature gains and losses to anything due to heat.
