Performance

Meshify 2 Compact keeps our eight-core AMD Ryzen processor a tad cooler than in its Define 7 Compact sibling. That's to be expected, but it is interesting to see that the two smaller enclosures aren't as efficient as their standard-size counterparts. Larger cases with more room to breathe tend to fare better with our particular setup.

We see similar results in GPU cooling performance. Meshify's airflow optimisations don't make for a dramatic departure from the regular Define, though we are testing with all filters in their default positions; the front nylon filter is easily removed to aid cooling.

No surprises here, either. While Meshify tends to have the edge over Define when it comes to cooling, the latter, with solid panels and sound-dampening materials scattered throughout, is better adept at minimising noise output.
