Benchmark: Noise

To find out how loud the chassis can get we're using a PCE-318 noise meter placed at the front of each chassis to take decibel readings with the system idling in two modes; low fan speed and high fan speed.

Excellent cooling performance usually comes at the expense of system noise, but the Phantom 410 managed to keep reasonably quiet.

Sure, it's loud with the fans running at full whack, but thanks to the integrated fan controller, noise levels can be kept down to acceptable levels. It's not silent, but considering the plastic materials and the large amounts of mesh, it's quieter than we'd anticipated.
